The International Logic Olympiad (ILO) is an annual competition in logical reasoning and problem-solving for students. It has Junior and Senior divisions. Beyond Code Academy is the regional partner for Thailand for ILO, so students can enter the International Logic Olympiad in Thailand.

### Is there an International Logic Olympiad in Thailand?
Yes. Beyond Code Academy is the regional partner for Thailand for the International Logic Olympiad (ILO), so ILO runs in Thailand with a regional venue in Central Bangkok. Students in Thailand can enter ILO Junior (ages 11–14) or ILO Senior (ages 14–18) through the official ILO portal, and Beyond Code Academy runs the ILO Mentorship Program in Thailand to prepare for it. We want ILO to be as accessible as possible for families across Thailand, so please let us know where you are located.

### How long is the ILO Mentorship Program?
Beyond Code Academy offers 15 Senior mentorship sessions of 2 hours each (30 hours total) and 12 Junior sessions of 2 hours each (24 hours total). Every session is recorded for revision. Contact Beyond Code Academy for schedules, session format, and program fees.

### Who can enter ILO Junior and ILO Senior?
ILO Junior is for students aged 11–14 enrolled in middle school (US grades 6–8). ILO Senior is for students aged 14–18 enrolled in high school (US grades 9–12) at registration. ### Where will ILO 2027 take place in Thailand?
The regional venue is in Central Bangkok, and for now it is the only confirmed one. We want ILO to be as accessible as possible for families across Thailand, so tell the team where you are located and we will do our best to bring the competition closer to you.

### Does the ILO competition fee include mentorship?
ILO lists a competition registration fee of US$50 per participant for both divisions. The Beyond Code Academy ILO Mentorship Program is separate. Contact the academy for mentorship pricing, and check the official ILO registration guide for current competition fees and payment instructions.

### What individual awards are there in the preliminary round?
Both ILO Junior and ILO Senior have three Individual Award categories based on preliminary-round results: Gold for the top 5% of all participants, Silver for the top 10%, and Bronze for the top 15%. Awarded scholars will be sent a digital certificate after the Final Round. Top scholars from each country will be represented at Stanford University for the Final Round.

### When are the ILO 2027 competition and registration dates?

No. The International Logic Olympiad is a student logic competition founded in partnership with Stanford University. It is not the United Nations International Labour Organization, even though both are abbreviated ILO. The official competition site is logicolympiad.org.

### Is the International Logic Olympiad exam in English?
Yes. Both ILO Junior and ILO Senior exams are in English. Students must be able to understand, communicate, and complete exams in English. Families can discuss the contest in whatever language they speak at home; the paper is not translated.

### Can students in Thai schools and international schools in Thailand enter ILO?
Yes, if they meet ILO’s age, school-grade, and English-language rules. Students in Thai schools, bilingual programmes, and international schools all register on the official portal and select the Thailand testing location. Beyond Code Academy is the regional partner.

### How do students from Thailand qualify for the Stanford finals?

### What is the International Logic Olympiad?

ILO is an annual competition in logical reasoning and problem-solving for school students, founded in partnership with Stanford University. It is not the United Nations International Labour Organization — the two share an abbreviation and nothing else.

There are two divisions, Junior and Senior. Everyone starts with an in-person preliminary round at a regional partner venue, and the top scholars from each country go on to represent it at the Final Round at Stanford University, California, on 1–3 July 2027.

Beyond Code Academy runs the Thailand side as the regional partner. This page is our guide for families here; the official rules, registration, and sample tests live at logicolympiad.org.

### Who can enter from Thailand?

Your child needs to fit the age and school-grade rules for their division, be comfortable reading and answering in English, and register on the official ILO portal once it opens on 14 January 2027.

Thai schools, bilingual programmes, and international schools all qualify. If your family lives or studies here, you sit the exam here — ILO verifies the residence location after payment, so choose Thailand only when that is genuinely where you are.

Ages are counted on 1 January 2027. The quickest check before you pay anything is the Thai / US / British grade table on the main ILO 2027 Thailand page.

### ILO Junior or ILO Senior?

Junior is for students aged 11–14 in middle school (US grades 6–8), usually Prathom 6 to Matthayom 2 here. Thailand sits the preliminary round on 11 April 2027, and mentorship runs for 12 Saturday sessions (24 hours).

Senior is for students aged 14–18 who are in high school (US grades 9–12) when they register — usually Matthayom 3 to Matthayom 6. The preliminary round is 18 April 2027, and mentorship runs for 15 Saturday sessions (30 hours), following topics from Stanford’s Introduction to Logic.

The overlap is what catches families out: a student who is 14 on 1 January 2027 still has to match the school-grade rule for whichever division they pick. If that is your child, read both official eligibility pages or ask Beyond Code Academy before you pay the entry fee.

### How do students reach the Stanford finals?

The 2027 Final Round is in person at Stanford University from 1–3 July. ILO selects finalists from the preliminary round at each regional partner venue, and there is no published cut-off score — selection is relative to everyone else who sat the paper at that venue. Finalists then compete as a team representing their region or country.

Medals are a separate thing. Both divisions award Gold to the top 5% of all preliminary-round participants, Silver to the top 10%, and Bronze to the top 15%, with a digital certificate issued after the Final Round. A medal is not a ticket to California; the finals have limited capacity.

Families arrange travel, visas, and the costs of the final-round weekend themselves. ILO can provide documentation for a visa application but does not issue visas. Confirm the current finalist rules on the official Junior and Senior awards pages.

### Key dates, the fee, and what language the exam is in

Registration opens on the official portal on 14 January 2027 and closes on 21 March 2027. The listed competition fee is US$50 per participant. ILO offers financial aid toward that fee for families earning under US$20,000 a year — the form and its 17 February 2027 deadline are on the official registration pages, and the aid covers the fee only, not mentorship or travel.

Thailand’s preliminary dates, announced with Beyond Code Academy, are 11 April 2027 for ILO Junior and 18 April 2027 for ILO Senior, at a regional venue in Central Bangkok. The official ILO pages quote a wider window — 10–11 April for Junior, 17–18 April for Senior — because dates vary by testing centre.

Both divisions sit the exam in English. Preparing at home in whatever language you speak is completely normal; what matters is that your child can read the problems and write the solutions in English under timed conditions.

### Bangkok is confirmed — tell us where you are

Central Bangkok is the confirmed regional venue for 2027, and for now it is the only one. We want this to be as accessible as possible for families across Thailand, so wherever you live, tell us your location when you register your interest — that is what Beyond Code Academy uses to work out where another centre would genuinely help.

Mentorship runs on Saturdays in Bangkok from 31 October 2026, Junior at 10:30–12:30 and Senior at 16:30–18:30, with recordings for revision. Talk to the academy if you need an online option or a particular campus — Sam Yan, Thonglor, or online, as listed on the contact page.

### Is ILO worth it for a student in Thailand?

ILO is a reasoning contest. It is not a coding contest, and it is not a school-subject olympiad in the IMO sense. The students who get the most from it are the ones who enjoy puzzles and proofs and keep asking why one thing follows from another. For the few who go, the Stanford final is a genuine international academic experience — and the way of thinking students build getting there is what all of them keep.

The honest way to decide: sit the official sample test on the ILO portal together, come to the Zoom information session on 9 October 2026, or just ask us — all of that happens before the US$50 entry fee. Mentorship is optional and priced separately from the competition fee.

### Do we have to join mentorship to enter?
No. Registration goes straight through the official ILO portal, and mentorship is optional and priced separately from the US$50 entry fee. The Saturday sessions in Bangkok from 31 October 2026 are there for families who want their child to prepare with structure and someone to ask along the way.

Along the way there are Gold, Silver, and Bronze awards on preliminary-round rank, a real deadline worth preparing for, and other students who enjoy the same kind of problems. Stanford is a wonderful bonus for a few; the reasoning stays with everyone.

ILO Junior สำหรับนักเรียนอายุ 11–14 ปีที่เรียนระดับ middle school (เกรด 6–8 ของสหรัฐฯ) ในระบบไทยมักเป็น ป.6 ถึง ม.2 รอบคัดเลือกในไทยคือวันที่ 11 เมษายน 2027 และ Mentorship มี 12 ครั้งในวันเสาร์ (24 ชั่วโมง)

ILO Senior สำหรับนักเรียนอายุ 14–18 ปีที่กำลังเรียนระดับ high school (เกรด 9–12) ณ วันสมัคร ในระบบไทยมักเป็น ม.3 ถึง ม.6 รอบคัดเลือกคือวันที่ 18 เมษายน 2027 และ Mentorship มี 15 ครั้งในวันเสาร์ (30 ชั่วโมง) ตามแนววิชา Introduction to Logic ของสแตนฟอร์ด

### นักเรียนไทยไปรอบชิงชนะเลิศที่สแตนฟอร์ดได้อย่างไร?

รอบชิงชนะเลิศปี 2027 จัดที่มหาวิทยาลัยสแตนฟอร์ดวันที่ 1–3 กรกฎาคม ILO คัดผู้เข้ารอบจากผลรอบคัดเลือกของแต่ละสนาม ไม่มีการประกาศคะแนนตัดขั้นต่ำ เพราะเทียบกับผู้เข้าสอบคนอื่นในสนามเดียวกัน ผู้ที่ผ่านการคัดเลือกจะแข่งเป็นทีมตัวแทนภูมิภาคหรือประเทศ

### 谁可以从泰国参赛？

泰文学校、双语项目与国际学校都符合条件。只要家庭在泰国居住或就读，就在泰国考试。ILO 会在付款后核验所选居住地，因此只有情况属实时才应选择泰国。

### 泰国学生如何进入斯坦福决赛？

2027 年决赛于 7 月 1–3 日在斯坦福大学现场举行。ILO 依据各区域合作伙伴考点的初赛成绩选拔决赛选手，没有公布固定分数线——比较的是同一考点其他考生的表现。入选者将组成代表队，代表所在地区或国家参赛。

奖牌是另一回事。两个组别都设金奖（初赛全体前 5%）、银奖（前 10%）与铜奖（前 15%），并在决赛后发放电子证书。拿到奖牌并不等于可以前往加州，决赛名额有限。

差旅、签证及决赛期间的费用由家庭自行安排。ILO 可以提供签证申请所需的证明文件，但不签发签证。请以官方 Junior 与 Senior 奖项页面的最新规则为准。

### 在泰国参加 ILO 值得吗？
